In nine months, about 450 Billion Rupees Interest collected by 20 Commercial Banks

Kathmandu ; In the last 9 months, 20 commercial banks has collected around 450 billion Rupees as an interest . According to the financial statements published by the banks up to the end of Chaitra Month, of the current fiscal year (2080/81), 20 commercial banks has collected an interest of worth 447 billion 63 million 930 thousand Rupees.

The interest paid by the debtors to the banks is 13.08 percent higher than the same period of last fiscal year. As the debtors had paid 395 billion 358 million 967 thousand Rupees as an interest in the same period of last fiscal year.

According to the report, during this period, there has been a decrease in interest income of 7 banks out of 20 commercial banks whereas the interest income of 13 commercial banks has increased. Overall the interest income has been increased by 13 percent in comparison to the last fiscal year of same period.

Global IME Bank is in the first rank to earn the most interest by the end of Chaitra month of the current fiscal year. During this period, the bank collected 39 billion 672 million 547 thousand Rupees from its debtors. Which is 18.05 percent more than last fiscal year. It has been mentioned in the statistics of the financial report that during the same period of the last fiscal year, the bank has earned 33 billion 607 million 617 thousand rupees from its debtors.

Nabil Bank is on the second position to earn the highest interest from the debtors. Nabil bank, which ranks first in profit earning, has collected 35 billion 439 million 559 thousand Rupees from its debtors in 9 months of the current fiscal year. Which is 7.79 percent more than last fiscal year.

Similarly, interest from debtors has increased by 41.25 percent and has become 32 billion 589 million 590 thousand Rupees of Nepal Investment Mega Bank whereas interest from debtors has increased by 28.02 percent and has become 29.54 billion Rupees of Kumari Bank.

Similarly, interest from debtors has increased by 2.24 percent and has become 29.42 billion Rupees of NIC Asia Bank whereas interest from debtors has increased by 38.78 percent and has become 26.811 billion of Himalayan Bank.

Similarly, interest from debtors of Laxmi Sunrise Bank has increased by 90.94 percent and has become 26.573 billion Rupees whereas interest from debtors of Prabhu Bank has increased by 16.08 percent and has become 23.849 billion Rupees.

Meanwhile, Commercial Bank has collected 22.44 billion Rupees, Agricultural Development Bank has collected 20.153 billion Rupees, NMB Bank has collected 19.821 billion Rupees, Siddhartha Bank has collected 19.568 billion Rupees , Prime Commercial Bank has collected 19.341 billion Rupees, Nepal Bank has collected 19.297 billion Rupees, Everest Bank has collected 16.97 billion Rupees, Sanima Bank has collected 15.738 billion Rupees, Citizen Bank has collected 14.933 billion Rupees, Nepal SBI Bank has collected 13.321 billion Rupees, Machhapuchchhre Bank has collected 12.853 billion Rupees and Standard Chartered Bank has collected 8.716 billion Rupees as an Interest from their debtors.
